Based on TSA's new security protocols that will allow them to screen with the laptop inside.

Checkthrough by Skooba Design is a "checkpoint-friendly" laptop bag designed and tested to meet upcoming new US travel security allowances for X-ray screening without having to remove the laptop from the bag. The goal of the new program is to reduce inconvenience to travelers and speed up the security screening process.

Earlier this year, Transportation Security Administration (TSA) put out a public request for proposals on laptop bag designs that might be permitted to go through security (X-ray) screening without having to remove the laptop. Skooba will be introducing Checkthrough laptop bags to coincide with the TSA’s new protocol rollout (late summer/early fall). The Checkthrough name represents their own checkpoint-friendly products.

The company will also offer various other innovative features designed to make the security process and travel in general more efficient, organized and user-friendly. But no details about product names or pricing has been revealed so far.
